Drew Hildebrand died at the age of 16, a victim of teen violence. He was from my area and new a lot of the same people I know, its too bad I never got to know him while he was still alive he was a really cool kid. I was honored when I was asked to paint something during the Drew Hildebrand Walk/Run event, I brought my Little sister out to watch and have fun with everyone very family friendly and filled with love! Yes! So its been a long while, i got a full time job as a ***** and ***** at ****** *****, I censored all that because i dont want to be known as those titles, im an artist always, i just need money lol. SO! Always Fresh Magazine is having a contest or an artist call out thing to design a sticker, Usualy i dont care about these things at all, but i like what there doing so i put in a couple of designs, its been a year or so since i did any digital computer stuff, but it was fun none the less...

Carrying On Tradition

After a great conversation with Skam HSA, I felt as though he was passing down the torch or proud that Phade and I are carrying on with tradition as both b-boys and writers, and how we rock old school new york style. Honestly that made me feel good because Skam and all of HSA crew are a Major infuence on my style i look to them as my teachers. Shout out to Slon, who also help me develope my style. A day with KRS ONE the Teacher at Jane and Finch!

I got to paint at the Life Movement's presenation of Hip Hop Legend KRS-ONE in the Jane and Finch area of Toronto, ON. The event occurred at 15 San Romano Way, Toronto, ON Tuesday June 9, 2009 and it was amazing! The messege and theme of the event was a stop the violence movement. The event was great open mic, B-boys Phade and Ground Illusion Cold Rocking it showed me mad love. Then we headed off to toronto's city hall were manifesTO had a press confress guess staring the Teacher KRS blessing us with knowledge im going to keep for life. I cant put this day into words! Jane and Finch Showed us mad love and i hope to do more there. Peace!

Painting in Prison!

Last Year a kid in prison entered a Toronto Crimestoppers T-shirt re-design Contest. We were so inspired Scott Mills asked me to paint his design on a BMX bike ramp with i did and is on my blog, The US WE YOU ME TOGETHER post. Scott worked hard with some people at the Center, to get us in there working with this kid along with others to Paint a few BMX Bike ramps. It was there first time every Spray Painting and as you can see it turned out great. better than my first time. Scott and I got the tour afterwards and It was eye opening! Life changing even, I even was caught off guard seeing an old friend in there. The kid that entered the design, is very enthusiastic, and i hope we get to work together in the future, Hes a dope artist with a bright future if he follows the right path. I'm just so happy to be a part of something this amazing Thank you Scott Mills for hooking this and Center for welcoming me in!

2008 is coming to an end, and what a year it was! Alot of good times and bad. 2009 is going to be an even bigger year for TBC, and i hope for all of you also! Alright now to the artwork present, The sketch is from a young kid in jail right now, who is trying to make a good change in his life, he submited this sketch in a t-shirt redesign contest. The original idea was to go to the prison and have him paint it, But the powers that be at the prison want to ignore Our friend and constable Scott Mills efforts. I was so inspired i descided to paint it myself! Peace!

Alright so heres something new for all you groovers and shakers out there! The day started off shaky, I was dead tired hungry and could not get any colour paints that i wanted. We went from paint store to paint store, but Outline and Bombshelter where closed at the time. Alll in all this day was not working in my favor. so when i got to painting Its was so cold that the paint was not sticking right to the surface, but i still made it work. By the end of the day i felt good, had fun meet a few people and finished another painting! Peace!

Alright, heres a painting Phade and I worked on last month, unfortunatly I didnt finish the writing. There was a moment during this project were we were exploited to the media to look like Ghetto ass kids given an opportunity by this wierd dude. But all in all there cause is amazing, they work to stop child abuse, and Phade and I are all about that, plus i want to give a special shout out to Kathy Ali, she really is the one that made this possible, shes truly inspirational!

Today i was expecting to work on something amazing, i really wanted to paint something over the top. I brought all my paints with me. Turns out getting a space today wasnt a guarantee. But as soon as i got there i had a request for a mural on this old ladies garage whos husband recantly passed away. She really wanted something colourful and that has flowers. I would think that this request ws corny and not my style. But when i meet her, she was so sweet and she loved what i painted for her. She touched my soul. I felt like i really did something important to someone, no amount of awards or reconition can give me what she gave me. Not only her but everyone who lives in that area was so happy to see it. Mothers with there kids together enjoying me painting, the locals having fun all together, one lady told me shes going to feel proud and happy everyday when walking down her alley way. this is all with paint, something are more powerfull than anything you can control.
